1. Synthesizing large volumes of text. Give AI 10 articles and ask it to find the common themes. Give it a transcript and ask for action items. Give it a dataset and ask for patterns. There are hundreds of AI tools. You need at most three to start.
For general work (writing, analysis, brainstorming): Claude by Anthropic or ChatGPT by OpenAI. Both are excellent. Claude tends to produce more thoughtful, nuanced output for longer documents. ChatGPT has more integrations and plugins. Pick one and learn it well before adding others.

Your first week with AI: a practical plan
